Citizenship
LVEP Citizenship Classes
Are you over age 18?
Have you had your permanent legal resident status for 5 years?
If yes, you may be able to apply for U.S. citizenship.
LVEP has teachers in Martinsburg and Ranson who can help for free.
We offer classes, either in person or via Zoom, to help you study for the tests and prepare for the
interview.
We can help you complete and submit your N-400 application.
We partner with an organization that offers a free legal review of your N-400.
Are you worried about passing the English reading and writing tests?
We use a book that helps with that too.
Or, you can take our English classes before starting to study for citizenship.
Those who are over 50 and have had their permanent legal resident status for at least 10 years
may be eligible to take the test in their 1 st language. We can explain the rules about that.
And some of our volunteers are able to teach in languages other than English.
