Berkeley County
LVEP provides Citizenship Classes and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes for adults. Volunteers serve students enrolled in EPICs ESL classes and may provide one-on-one tutoring if there is a need. Volunteers also tutor adults attending Adult Education programs at the Berkeley Adult Learning Center and at the James Rumsey Technical Institute’s Jill S Weekly Learning Center as well as individuals requesting basic literacy tutoring.
Jefferson County
LVEP Volunteers in Jefferson primarily provide tutoring to adults attending programs at Jefferson County School's Adult Learning Center in Ranson. Volunteers provide tutoring at all levels for students preparing for the high school diploma examination, working on basic computer skills, learning English or preparing for the US Citizenship test. Volunteers provide office help and may even teach a short-term special topic class.
Morgan County
The LVEP provides volunteers who work with students in the Morgan County Adult Education program located in Berkeley Springs.
